A Big Lipped Necromancer Moment!

My friends are great. They like to make fun of my comics for being overdramatic, but I don't take this personally. I play on it, and laugh along with them. It's great! My friend Chantal suggested that Xaveron, my evil necromancer emperor from Signum Fas, is in fact a metrosexual drama queen, and would freak out if, in fact, he was covered in ice and rocks. God forbid it mess up his manicure.

Kissy kissy!

I watched Beauty and the Beast the other day... and I think the best kiss of any Disney film comes from the end of this one. You feel so weird when it happens though because the Beast when he's human looks like Hercules, so when you see Belle kiss Hercules, you're like AW GEEZ she's cheatin' on Beast, and Meg's in the corner about to kick her ass.. yep.

Well aside from all that INTERESTING THOUGHT PROCESS that I have going, I decided to do a paint-over screencap of the kiss scene and replaced them with Dah'nan and Candy.

I know, I'm a sap. YOU HAVE NOOOO IDEA!

Emerald City ComicCon!

Well I got back from Emerald City Comic Con a week ago, and it was a blast! It was my first "comic" convention. I've been to anime cons but not an actual comiccon, where I didn't have to worry about getting to panels and last minute costuming. I just went, saw everything, met some great people and had a fantastic time.

I bring back arts of Candy and other things, like I usually got my friends to bring back for me when they went. This time I was able to get a couple more pieces. So I will share all my goodies with you!

First I commissioned a piece from Edward Pun, who does the comic Betsy Mae. You can see his awesome art on his website, here! http://www.edwardpun.com/

Then I got a sketch from Jim Mahfood, who has the most bitchin' style. I wish I had brought enough money to get a full blown commission from this guy. His website is here: http://www.40ozcomics.com/index.php



Next, I got a drawing from Pia Guerra, who draws Y! the Last Man. I get one from her every year, so this was the 3 year anniversary of her drawing Candy. Hee hee.


My friend Tasli is also super talented, her deviantart account can be found here: http://tazzyorca.deviantart.com/ She drew me a picture of Candy just because she wanted to! Isn't she awesome?! She also made the HOTTEST Scarlet Witch costume ever.

Also I feel really bad, I got another guy to draw Candy, but I forgot his name.. I think he either drew or wrote one of the comics at the convention.. he seemed really self conscious about his drawing talent, but I think he did an awesome job. :) Thanks dude! I'll post your name once I find it..

Winter Blessings

Another post comes from a picture I did back in December when I created postcards and sent them out to people. I drew Dah'nan from Signum Fas in a wintery scene with a deer and a cardinal and birch trees and a crazy looking ice cave behind him. Painting lineless is always a challenge and I love how it turned out! And all my friends/relatives liked it too, so yay! :)

Yeah, that's right. Read the title and weep. I did both of these TODAY. Yep. And they're not commissions. I KNOW. BIG SHOCK. @________@! (Not meant to be sarcasm, sarcasm/not sarcasm is lost over the internet.) XD



I did this picture for my supervisor at work because he's going to Emerald City ComiCon, and since I didn't get to go again, he's going to take this picture and get a bunch of artists to draw Candy (hopefully!) I'm so excited!2#$@ All the art I get I will post on here so you all can see! I should post the 2 I got a couple years ago when my other friend went in my stead again (I've never actually gone. -___- everything always comes up for some reason or another..)

Haha. I drew this at work today between chats and calls, because that's usually when I read comics. I read one today called "Shinigami Lovers" and the main character is obsessed with nail art and it gave me the idea to do this. XD Also I wanted to practice perspectiveness. I mean, my environments still need a buttload of work because I'm so out of practice, but whatever, cute girls make up for it, yes? YESS!?!?! So yeah, Candy and Geneviev at a spa gettin' pampered. ~~<3 I could so go for a spa treatment RIIIIGHT NOW.
